Chapter two: Painful memories
Cloud groaned as he stopped at one of the pews in Aerith's church as he looked up and tried turn his head to the side everything around him started to reel and he felt sharp and piercing pain in his left forearm also a strong sickly feeling filled his stomach and felt his knees go out then as he keeled halfway between his cot and the flower bed he felt everything around him go into a black void and he hit his head hard on the wooden floor of the church.

"Hey there SOLDIER got a name?" A young raven haired first class SOLDIER asked, Cloud hesitated for a moment "Strife, Cloud sir!" he said standing straight and saluting the man in front of him "ha! I like your attitude Cloud I'm Zack, Zack Fair" the raven haired named Zack held out his hand for Cloud to shake, and he did smiling under his helmet "I think you and I will become great friends" Zack said as he showed Cloud around.
"Argh" Cloud woke up to a blinding white light, startled he sat up right away causing his head to hurt "Careful now" he heard a familiar giggle "Tifa?" he heard himself ask and out of nowhere a young fifteen year old Tifa appeared kneeling beside him "Tifa is that really you?" His hand reached up to touch her face and she took it; and a feeling of warmth swept through out his whole body.
"Silly did you hurt you head as you fell from the tree?" She giggled helping him to his feet again, putting a hand to his head Cloud began to sway "hold on don't go passing out on me now! Your the one that's going to protect me not the other way around!" Cloud started to laugh which made Tifa laugh as well "yeah sorry just forgot but I promise I will never again" he said kissing her forehead and a pink tint fell over he cheeks "you'll always be my hero," she whispered into his ear "no matter what" a smile along with a bright pink tint fell over his cheeks.
"On my behalf, you'll be my living legacy" Cloud's eyes locked into Zack's "thank-you Zack," he paused to look at Zack's lifeless form "for everything" a tear fell from his face to the ground.
